What to expect...

Week 1

Acclimatise, pamper immerse

Explore the local trails

Runs and adventure with lovely locals

Lace up your shoes and step directly onto the legendary red-clay trails that have shaped the world’s greatest distance runners. You won't just be watching from the sidelines; you'll be running alongside our local guides—talented athletes who know every twist and turn of the Rift Valley. Whether you are aiming for a PB or simply want to soak in the atmosphere, we provide a recommended training programme tailored to all abilities, from beginner to elite. To balance the hard work, we swap the track for the forest with a scenic trek to the Kessup Waterfalls, ending the afternoon the authentic Kenyan way: a thrilling 'motorbike backie' along the dirt trails back to camp!

The Heart of the Camp

Empower & connect with local charities

Our time in Iten is about more than just miles; it’s about the incredible people who call this 'Home of Champions' their own. We dive into the heart of local impact with a high-energy sports day at the Shoe4Africa Children’s Village and a visit to the Children’s Hospital in Eldoret to see their life-changing work firsthand. You’ll also join our partners at the Gathimba Edwards Foundation (GEF) to visit local housing projects, hand-delivering clothes donations to families in need. Spend an afternoon sitting with the community to learn the art of traditional GEF bracelet making—a meaningful way to support local livelihoods while taking a piece of Kenya home with you.

Beyond the red dirt

Pampering and parties!

Recovery is just as vital as the run, and Iten offers the perfect backdrop for some well-earned pampering. Indulge in professional sports massages to soothe tired legs, or treat yourself to a fresh manicure and hair styling at our favorite local spots. Between sessions, we head to the iconic Kerio View Hotel for the best coffee and views in town. For a truly unique memento, we can even help you source bespoke, hand-crafted jewellery and souvenirs. And when the sun goes down on our last night in Iten, it’s time to trade your running kit for dancing shoes at our Starlight Disco for a night of celebration with the whole group, before we head to pastures new...

Week 2

Focus, learn, challenge... then a safari send-off!

Meet true running legends

- and learn from their incredible coach

While others watch from afar, you’ll be stationed at the same camp as the legendary 2Running Club. This is your chance to observe the discipline of World and Olympic Champions like Emmanuel Wanyoni and Sebastian Sawe up close. Get an exclusive, private Q&A session with the mastermind behind the magic, Coach Claudio Berardelli. Gain insights into the philosophy, the workouts, and the mental grit required to conquer the global stage.

Train with future champions!

A humbling local school visit

Visit a local school, famed for it's illustrious roster of former students. Experience a (humbling!) afternoon run around their field, followed by a fun strength and conditioning session.

Tea plantation trails and factory

From the labarinth to the laboratory

This is the true playground of the running greats! Forge mental and physical muscle on the most spectacular running routes. Afterwards, take a fascinating tour around a tea factory showing the process from green leaves to bags ready to dunk. You'll never quite view your morning cuppa the same again!

Train hard

and Rest deep

Now acclimatised, this week is about experiencing what it's like to train like a pro. Then recharge in rooms designed for the bold! From the high-altitude air to the comfy, eco-conscious setup, it’s the perfect place to rest, recover, and get ready to take on Kapsabet’s wild beauty... again!

Wild Nairobi: The Final Stretch

Elephant sanctuary, game drive, giraffe centre and shopping!

Our final day in Kenya is a breathtaking celebration of the 'World’s Wildlife Capital.' We begin with an early morning game drive through Nairobi National Park, where lions and rhinos roam against the backdrop of the city skyline. By mid-morning, we visit the world-renowned Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary to meet the orphaned calves during their playful milk-feed and mud-bath. The magic continues at the Giraffe Centre, offering the rare chance to hand-feed the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes from a raised canopy platform. We’ll cap off the afternoon with some souvenir shopping —the perfect opportunity to gather hand-carved artefacts and Maasai beadwork as lasting mementos of an unforgettable trip.
